9th Annual Amateur Tournament

The first preliminary round of our annual tournament is July 15th at 8 p.m.
 
Not everyone will participate on that first night of the tourney.
 
All entrants will be divided into one of as many as 5 preliminary rounds
that will run from July 15th through August 26th.
 
The top three scores from each preliminary round will advance to one
of two semi-final rounds which will be held on the Thursday and Friday of
Labor Day weekend ( Sept. 2nd and 3rd at 8 p.m. ) The top 3 from each of those rounds will make the Finals at 8 p.m. September 4th.
 
Entry fee is $10.   All entry fees will be paid back to the top three in the finals.
 
5-7 judges will score each round of the tournament based on categories
of audience response, stage presence, originality and overall comedy
writing abilities.
 
Each preliminary and semi-final round performance will be 4-5 minutes.
 
In the Finals , the performers will be asked to perform a set of 7 to 8 minutes.

Once I've compiled a list of entries, I will let performers know in which preliminary round they will be perform.  If there are any Thursday nights between July 15th and August 26th that you cannot perform, let me know.
